Laurent FOULLOY

Laurent FOULLOY is a Professor at Savoie Mont Blanc University, affiliated with Polytech Annecy-Chambéry since 1991. He specializes in fuzzy techniques for control systems, information fusion, and smart sensor networks. His academic journey includes roles as a lecturer (1984–1990) and professor, followed by leadership positions such as Director of Polytech Annecy-Chambéry (2007–2017) and Polytech Network Coordinator (2015–2017).

• Education: Former student of École Normale Supérieure de Cachan.
• Research: Focuses on fuzzy logic applications in automation, sensor networks, and information fusion systems.
• Teaching: Teaches machine architectures and programming at Polytech Annecy-Chambéry.

He has supervised/co-supervised 15 theses and 3 HDRs, participated in 107 thesis juries (85 as rapporteur), and led the 'symbolic and neuromimetic control' working group (1991–1996). He was also a former Associate Editor for IEEE Transactions on Fuzzy Systems and member of the IFAC TC on Components and Instruments.
