Laura Wörner

Laura Wörner is a Researcher at the Institute of Biblical Archaeology within the Faculty of Protestant Theology at the University of Tübingen. She has been affiliated with the university since April 2020 as part of the SFB 1070 research consortium, specifically contributing to Project A05. Her work focuses on analyzing agricultural practices and nutrition in Old Testament texts, with particular attention to Iron Age Palestine and the geographical context of the region.

Education: She passed the 1st Theological Examination (1. Theologische Dienstprüfung) in February 2020 through the Evangelical State Church in Württemberg.

Research Interests: Her interdisciplinary work bridges biblical studies and archaeology, examining themes such as land use, food systems in ancient societies, and the geographic frameworks influencing biblical narratives. She collaborates with scholars like Prof. Dr. Jens Kamlah and Dr. Adriano Orsingher within the institute.
