Laura Wood is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Michigan School of Engineering. She collaborates with the TEE Center (Teaching Engineering Equity), CRLT-ENGIN (Center for Research on Learning and Teaching–Engineering), and C-SED (Center for Socially Engaged Design) to advance diversity, inclusion, justice, and equity (DIJE) in engineering curricula. Her research focuses on anti-deficit framing to create equitable STEM education systems, particularly supporting students from diverse backgrounds. She previously conducted doctoral work at Michigan State University on self-efficacy in STEM transfer students and contributes to editorial efforts exploring Critical Race Theory in Physics Education Research.
