Laura Wolfe

Laura Wolfe is Assistant Professor of Art History at University of West Georgia, specializing in medieval illumination and Japanese art. As Chancellor's Learning Scholar and Honors Fellow, she researches mindfulness in art education and intercultural pedagogy.

Research expertise:

• Early medieval Irish manuscripts (Book of Durrow/Kells)
• Byzantine and early Islamic art traditions
• 19th-20th century Japanese-European artistic exchange
• Zen Buddhist influences in art

Awards include Irish Research Council Scholarship and Terry Barry Prize nomination. Wolfe exhibits Celtic-inspired artwork and develops meta-cognitive approaches to art education.
