Laura Spolverato

Laura Spolverato is a PhD candidate in Movement and Sport Sciences at the Faculty of Physical Education and Physical Therapy, Vrije Universiteit Brussel. Her research focuses on mental health in elite sports, with an emphasis on the roles of entourage members and support staff. She has contributed to developing interventions targeting mental health literacy and has published on topics like job resources in elite sport staff and mental health promotion strategies.

Recent activities include presentations at conferences such as the 29th VBSW Symposium and the FEPSAC Congress 2024. She has supervised master’s theses on barriers for female elite coaches, gender-related stressors in coaching, and mental health literacy in entourage members.

Her work integrates qualitative methods and collaboration across countries, addressing both athlete and staff well-being in high-performance environments.
