Laura Sabella

Laura Sabella serves as an Associate Professor of Instruction and Coordinator for Secondary Clinical Experiences at the University of South Florida's College of Education. With extensive teaching experience spanning early childhood, high school English, and ESOL Resource in urban and rural settings, she currently teaches Senior Seminar courses and oversees all clinical placements for secondary teacher candidates across seven local school districts.

She investigates the integration of Exceptional Student Education within secondary English contexts, focusing on developing resilient educators capable of addressing diverse learner needs while serving as change agents in school systems.

Advising and Leadership: As Coordinator for Secondary Clinical Experiences, Dr. Sabella directs all field placements while leading the Tutor-a-Bull program placing education majors in high-needs middle schools. Her leadership includes founding the Office of Field and Clinical Education (2019-2022), directing the SunCoast Teacher Training Honors Program, and serving on the Temple Terrace School Support Board and College of Education's Undergraduate Programs Committee to strengthen teacher preparation infrastructure.
