Laura Post is an Assistant Professor of Printmaking at the University of Dallas. She holds an MFA from the Rhode Island School of Design (Printmaking) and a B.A. from Swarthmore College in Studio Art and Asian Studies, focusing on Chinese language, history, and art history. Her work integrates traditional techniques with community-driven environmental projects.
Post’s research includes collaborations with institutions like the Fort Worth Botanic Garden and Arlington Public Library through her LRP Studio, LLC, focusing on using invasive plants to create paper for large-scale art. She previously taught at the University of Texas Arlington and Indiana University, where she initiated a grant-funded project transforming invasive plants into pulp paintings.
Her exhibitions include solo shows at Arts Fort Worth (2021) and group exhibitions in venues such as the Shanghai International Paper Art Biennale and the International Print Center New York. Her work merges ecological awareness with artistic innovation, emphasizing cross-cultural and community-based practices.
