Laura Parke is a Senior Lecturer in BA Graphic Design at the School of Arts, University of the West of England, additionally serving as Foundation Link Tutor and Admissions Tutor.
Her research centers on person-centred design practices with emphasis on storytelling across print and digital platforms. Current projects include an imperfect index, a critical examination of discriminatory histories in graphic design advocating for inclusive futures through public talks. The inaugural event was held at Bristol's Watershed in 2023 with a follow-up scheduled for 2024.
Her creative practice has been exhibited at major institutions including International Slavery Museum (Liverpool), The Whitworth (Manchester), Abington Studios (Blackpool), Arnolfini (Bristol), Islington Mill (Salford), and Liverpool Independents Biennial.
