Laura Marchegiani

Laura Marchegiani is a Full Professor of Commercial Law and Intellectual Property Law at the University of Macerata's Department of Law. She holds a PhD in Antitrust Law from the University of Perugia and is an academic member of prominent legal associations such as Associazione Disiano Preite and Orizzonti del Diritto Commerciale. Her research focuses on intellectual property, competition law, corporate governance, bankruptcy law, and digital economy regulations. She currently serves as Vice President of the Master's Degree in Law and previously held roles including member of the University Disciplinary Board (2013-2019).

Her teaching includes courses on Commercial Law, Antitrust Law, Fashion Law, and Digital Economy. Notable research contributions explore NFTs' copyright implications, AI in corporate governance, cross-border trademark regulations, and sustainable SME models. She has participated in EU-funded projects like AIcoIP (examining AI and IP rights) and CHETCH (healthcare solutions with China). She also chairs the editorial board of the Osservatorio del Diritto Civile e Commerciale.

Publications span over two decades, addressing topics like corporate transparency, music licensing, and legal frameworks for single-member companies. Her work integrates interdisciplinary approaches, linking EU regulations with emerging digital technologies and global business practices.
