Laura Lee Wiggins

Laura L. Wiggins, DNP, CRNA, is an Assistant Professor and OB Clinical Coordinator at the University of Pittsburgh School of Nursing's Nurse Anesthesia Program. She served 25 years in the USAF, retiring as Chief Nurse Executive for the 911th Aeromedical Staging Squadron.

Her clinical focus spans OB Anesthesia and Military Healthcare Simulation, with leadership roles in anesthesia services and advocacy. She played a key role in securing CRNA title recognition in Pennsylvania (2022) and contributes to national DNP research projects.

Notable achievements include the 2022 Daniel D. Vigness Federal Political Director Award for advocacy during the pandemic and serving on the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists' Continuing Education Committee.

Wiggins combines academic responsibilities with leadership in organizations like the Pennsylvania Association of Nurse Anesthetists (Past President) and national APP Leadership Course faculty engagements.
