Laura Johnson

Laura Johnson is a Lecturer in the Department of Geography, Environment & Spatial Analysis at California Polytechnic State University Humboldt. She holds a Ph.D. in Geography from Michigan State University, an M.A. in International Studies from East Carolina University, and a B.A. in Journalism and Mass Communication from UNC-Chapel Hill. Her research focuses on Place Studies, Ecofeminism, Environmental Justice, Agro-Food Systems, Relational Geographies, Qualitative Methods, and Community Action Research.

She teaches courses including GEOG 300: Global Awareness, ENST 295: Power, Privilege & Environment, and SOC 370: Environmental Inequality and Globalization. Her office is located in Founders Hall 109B, and she can be reached at (707) 826-4114 or lj621@humboldt.edu.
