Laura Henry-Stone

Laura Henry-Stone serves as Associate Professor of Sciences at the University of Lynchburg within the School of Professional & Applied Sciences, having joined the institution in 2012.

Dr. Henry-Stone specializes in ecological literacy education and environmental justice frameworks, with research emphasizing climate resilience strategies and sustainable systems development. Her expertise spans campus sustainability implementation, interdisciplinary curriculum design, and integrating natural/social sciences in educational contexts.

She teaches core sustainability courses including SUST 340: Environmental and Climate Justice and SUST 360: Sustainability in Practice, examining critical topics like Anthropocene dynamics through her course "Have we Entered the Age of Humans?"
