Laura Goodwin

Dr. Laura Goodwin is a Senior Lecturer in Mental Health at Lancaster University. Her research focuses on alcohol use disorders, mental health, and interventions targeting vulnerable populations such as veterans, minority groups, and maternal populations. She has led numerous projects funded by organizations like the National Institute for Health Research, Forces in Mind Trust, and NHS Liverpool CCG.

Key research interests include exploring the co-occurrence of mental health and alcohol use disorders, developing culturally appropriate screening tools, and evaluating interventions for harmful alcohol consumption. Her work addresses public health challenges in marginalized communities and veteran populations, emphasizing evidence-based policy development.
