Laura Ginn is a researcher at Newcastle University's School of Geography, Politics and Sociology, affiliated with the Centre for Urban and Regional Development Studies (CURDS) and Centre for Energy Newcastle. She holds a BA (2017-2020) and MA (2020-2021) in Human Geography from Newcastle, and is currently conducting PhD research on sustainable energy transitions in the North Sea Basin. Her work focuses on regional economic branching and path creation mechanisms in energy transitions.

- Evolutionary economic geography frameworks
- Regional labour diversity analysis
Teaching:
- GEO2099: Economic Geography
- GEO1015: Human Geographies of the UK
Methodologies: Combines documentary analysis, semi-structured interviews, focus groups, and walking ethnographies in empirical research. Collaborates with industry partner Port Esbjerg.
