Laura Faragó

Laura Faragó is Assistant Professor at ELTE's Faculty of Education and Psychology, researching misinformation, social cognition, and prejudice reduction. Her work examines psychological mechanisms underlying belief in fake news and develops evidence-based interventions to enhance critical thinking.

Current projects investigate cultural adaptation of counter-misinformation strategies, conspiracy theory propagation during crises, and cognitive factors in fake news discernment. Her research employs experimental designs and large-scale surveys to understand how misinformation spreads across different sociopolitical contexts.
