Laura Creighton holds a Research Fellowship at Queen’s University Belfast’s School of Nursing and Midwifery. She leads innovative projects focusing on digital education, serious game development, and nurse education enhancement. Her academic roles include Module Lead for Advanced Nursing Practice in Critical Care and Year One Academic Lead for Academic Integrity. She co-designed a serious game on academic integrity and leads international studies on cardiovascular risk and diabetes management in nursing.
Her research spans co-design methodologies, academic integrity, and healthcare education. Notable awards include the 2024 Nurse Education Provider of the Year (Post-Registration) and 2023 University Teaching Award (Rising Star). She collaborates globally with institutions like the University of Szeged and Emory University, advancing nursing education and practice through technology.
Creighton is a Co-Investigator in all-Ireland delirium education and diabetes care projects. She chairs the Technology Enhanced Learning Cluster, guiding staff and students in integrating digital tools. Her work contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals related to health and well-being.
