Laura Coombs

Laura Coombs is Adjunct Assistant Professor at The Cooper Union's Irwin S. Chanin School of Architecture and head of design at the New Museum of Contemporary Art (including New Inc and Rhizome). Her practice integrates graphic design with cultural institutions and publishing.

Creative Practice: Designs visual identities, websites, and publications for clients including MIT Press, Verso Books, Carnegie Museum of Art, and David Kordansky Gallery. Award-winning projects include Deserts are Not Empty and Cyberfeminism Index.

Academic Engagement: Teaches graphic design at Cooper Union and Princeton University. Presents at institutions globally including Harvard GSD, Yale School of Art, and Strelka Institute.
