About
Laura Condon is a Professor of Hydrology and Atmospheric Sciences at the University of Arizona. Her research addresses large-scale water sustainability and the dynamics of managed hydrologic systems under climate change and human development pressures.
Research focuses include:
- Continental-scale integrated hydrologic modeling
- Groundwater-surface water interactions
- Impacts of human management on hydrologic systems
- Coupling between groundwater, soil moisture, and climate systems
Her group develops and applies high-resolution models to understand complex hydrologic systems, with recent work including the ParFlow-CONUS platform covering the contiguous United States. Research integrates physical modeling with statistical methods to evaluate water resource sustainability under changing conditions.
