Laura Chiaramonte

Laura Chiaramonte is a Full Professor of Banking and Finance at the University of Verona, Department of Management. She earned her Ph.D. in Business Administration from the University of Verona in 2007, and previously held roles as Assistant and Associate Professor at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore (Milan).

• Research Focus: Bank crisis analysis, liquidity management, cooperative banks, deposit insurance, and mergers & acquisitions.
• Awards: Recognized with the Research Committee Award (2020) and Best Paper Award (2019).
• Teaching: Leads courses like Bank Management (Master’s) and Investments and Financial Markets (Bachelor’s).

She coordinates research projects, such as the 2018 study on VLTROs’ impact on Eurozone bank lending. Active in academic governance, she chairs the Commissione AQ Ricerca and participates in departmental committees.
