Laura Castro Alvarez

Laura Castro Alvarez is a faculty member at the University of Santiago de Compostela, affiliated with the Department of Spanish Language and Literature. Her research focuses on the literary works of Francisco de Quevedo, specifically analyzing prose and lyrical poetry from the 17th century, with a strong emphasis on both theoretical linguistics and classical philology.

She teaches courses on

• Spanish Language and Literature

across multiple degree programs, including English Language and Literature, Galician Language and Literature, and Modern Languages and Literatures. Her research group explores historical and literary contexts of early modern Spanish literature.
