Laura Bunyan is an Associate Professor in Residence of Sociology at the University of Connecticut. She holds a PhD in Sociology and an MA in Women’s Studies from SUNY Albany, along with a BA from St. Lawrence University.
Research Focus: Dr. Bunyan specializes in qualitative analysis of labor relations, particularly in domestic work and care economies. Her notable work examines socio-demographic intersections between employers and employees in nanny work, and historical analyses of welfare policy under capitalist frameworks.
