Laura Andes

Laura Andes serves as a Lecturer in the Department of Philosophy at California Polytechnic State University (Cal Poly) in San Luis Obispo. She is affiliated with both the Philosophy Department and the Religious Studies program at the university.

Her academic work connects with Cal Poly's Ethics + Emerging Sciences Group, which examines implications of new technologies, and she contributes to the university's Religious Studies program that promotes unbiased exploration of world religions. The program emphasizes convivencia - productive harmony between different religious traditions leading to authentic peace.

Lecturer Andes teaches foundational philosophy courses including PHIL 230: Philosophical Classics - Knowledge & Reality and PHIL 126: Logic and Argumentative Writing. She maintains an office in Building 26M, Room 104 on the Cal Poly campus.
