Laura Altweck

Dr. Laura Altweck is a Scientific Associate at the Chair of Health & Prevention within the Institute of Psychology at the University of Greifswald, Germany. She is actively engaged in research and teaching, contributing to multiple funded projects focused on mental health, well-being, and life transitions.

Her research interests include:

• Life events across the lifespan
• Intercultural comparisons
• Gender differences in health
• Subjective well-being and quality of life

Her current research projects include DDR-PSYCH (examining the long-term psychological impact of life in the former East Germany), iCAN (chatbot-assisted depression aftercare for youth), CAT (transition from child to adult medical care), and a pilot study on daily time use and quality of life among parents using Ecological Momentary Assessment.

At the University of Greifswald, she teaches courses such as:

• "Data Science for Applied Psychology" (MSc level)
• "Scientific Writing and Argumentation" (BSc level)

She has been actively teaching in the 2022/23 and 2023/24 winter semesters.
