Laura Alonso Martinez

Laura Alonso Martinez is an Assistant Professor at the School of Health Sciences, University of Burgos, Spain. Her research focuses on nursing, sexual health, and gender studies, with particular interest in risk behaviors, prejudice towards sexual diversity, and instrument validation for evaluation in these areas.

She earned her PhD in 2022 from the University of Burgos with a thesis analyzing risk sexual behaviors, sexism, and biases toward sexual diversity among university students, including validation of assessment instruments in both English and Spanish.

As a member of the TFS Therapy, Family and Health research group, her work bridges clinical practice and psychosocial analysis. Her current email contact is lamartinez@ubu.es.
