Dr. Laura A. Boddicker is an Assistant Professor of Counseling at Loras College, specializing in clinical mental health counseling. She holds a BS in Psychology from Upper Iowa University (2014), an MA and PhD in Counselor Education from the University of Iowa (2016 and 2022). Her professional roles include certified rehabilitation counselor (CRC) and licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) in Iowa, with over 12 years' experience in mental health and vocational counseling.
Research focuses on wellness/burnout among counselors and military sexual trauma interventions for veterans. She currently designs evidence-based interventions using experimental methodologies. Professional service includes chairing the New Faculty Interest Network for the Association for Counselor Education and Supervision (AACES). Active in the American Counseling Association (ACA) and AACES.
