Lasse Lindekilde is a Professor at the Department of Political Science, Aarhus University, with a PhD from the European University Institute. His research spans political violence, radicalization, terrorism, online hate speech, and misinformation, focusing on societal prevention strategies and interdisciplinary approaches.
- Research Interests: Online political hostility, pro-social bystander reactions, counter-terrorism policies, institutional logics in multiagency collaborations, Nordic extremism frameworks
Grants & Awards: Recipient of two ERC grants (2020, 2023) for projects on online political hostility. Previously awarded the DJØF/DM staff representative prize (2012).
Teaching & Leadership: Coordinates the PhD program at Aarhus University, teaches BA/MA courses on political sociology and violence, and contributes to international PhD summer schools. Supervises across postdoc, PhD, MA, and BA levels.
International Network: Fellowships at UC Santa Barbara and University of Melbourne, collaborations with King’s College London and European University Institute.
