Lars Vilhelmsen is an Associate Professor and Curator at the Zoological Museum, Natural History Museum of Denmark (University of Copenhagen). He earned his M.Sc. (1995), Ph.D. (1999), and Dr. scient. (2004) from the University of Copenhagen, specializing in hymenopteran morphology and systematics. His career includes postdoctoral research at Uppsala University (2000-2002) and continuous employment at Copenhagen since 2002.
