Lars Tønder is a Professor with special responsibilities in the Department of Political Science at the University of Copenhagen. His research focuses on the intersection of climate change and democracy, emphasizing governance, citizen participation, civil society, and the inclusion of non-human actors in political processes. Previously, he explored broader democratic theory, including political pluralism, social justice, tolerance, and free speech.
