Lars Nagel

Lars Nagel is a Lecturer and International Exchanges Coordinator at Loughborough University since 2017, affiliated with the "Cyber, Networks and Systems" and "Theoretical Computer Science" research groups.

Dr. Nagel's research centers on theoretical computer science and systems engineering, specializing in fault-tolerant algorithms and data structures for distributed computing environments. His work addresses critical challenges in load balancing and scheduling across cloud infrastructure, green computing initiatives, high-performance computing clusters, and enterprise storage systems. He actively contributes to both theoretical foundations and practical implementations in these domains.

Prior to academia, he gained industry experience as a software developer at Siemens and Trium Analysis Online, followed by postdoctoral research at the University of Paderborn and University of Mainz.
