Lars Leer

Lars Leer serves as an Associate Professor at Western Norway University of Applied Sciences (HVL), specifically at the Campus Sogndal within the HVL Business School's Section for Legal and Social Studies. His academic career spans multiple Norwegian institutions with progressive appointments.

His educational background includes a Ph.D. in Social Anthropology from the Center for Advanced Studies in Social Anthropology (CIESAS) in 2006, a Cand.Polit in Political Science from the University of Oslo in 1993, and Teacher Education from the University of Oslo in 2016.

Professor Leer's research focuses on the intersection of sustainability, education, and political systems, with particular emphasis on Latin American contexts and comparative educational frameworks. His work spans both theoretical and applied dimensions of political ecology, civil society movements, and international development.
