Lara Rosenoff Gauvin is an Associate Professor of Socio-Cultural Anthropology at the University of Manitoba. She is a mother, activist scholar, and co-chair of the University of Manitoba's Respectful Rematriation and Repatriation Ceremony, which addresses Indigenous Ancestors, cultural expressions, and human materials stewarded improperly by institutions. Her work also includes long-term collaboration with an extended Acoli family in Northern Uganda on radio-based dialogues about Indigenous governance, law, and land rights protections.
