Lara Ciekiewicz

Lara Ciekiewicz is an MPS Instructor in Voice at the Desautels Faculty of Music, University of Manitoba. She has established herself as a dynamic singing-actress with a reputation for fully transforming into characters across genres. Her career includes notable performances in operas such as Susannah, Gianni Schicchi, and Le nozze di Figaro, collaborating with organizations like Manitoba Opera, Pacific Opera Victoria, and Edmonton Opera.

Lara is increasingly recognized as an adjudicator and teacher, with alumni status from prestigious programs including l’Atelier lyrique de l’Opéra de Montréal and San Francisco Opera’s Merola Opera Program. Her recent awards include the Winnipeg Arts Council RBC On the Rise Award and a CGS Master's Scholarship from SSHRC.
