Lando David is a Professor at the Department of Finance, Copenhagen Business School (since 2003) and Director of FRIC (Center for Financial Frictions), a Danish National Research Foundation Center of Excellence. His academic career includes roles as Head of the Department of Finance (2009–2012) and Professor at the University of Copenhagen's Department of Statistics and Operations Research (2002–2003). He has held visiting positions at Princeton University and the Center for Central European Financial Markets in Vienna.
Research focuses on credit risk modeling, risk management in financial institutions, derivatives markets, and systemic credit risk. Awards include membership in the Royal Danish Academy of Sciences (2012) and the Reinholdt W. Jorck Research Prize (2006).
