Landin Brown

Landin Brown is an Instructor of Design at the Art, Film & Media Department of Taylor University. With over 5 years of professional experience in both freelance and team-based visual communication roles, he bridges creative practice with academic instruction.

• MFA in Communication Design (in progress), Kutztown University
• BFA in Visual Communication Design & Honors Humanities, Indiana Wesleyan University

His professional expertise spans brand identity design, UX design, and typography, with a particular focus on creating distinctive visual systems in small-town contexts. He specializes in layout and publication design, motion graphics, packaging design, and place branding.

In his academic work, Brown emphasizes the universal creative potential of students, grounding his pedagogy in the philosophy that humans are made in the image of the ultimate Creator. His design practice addresses both digital and print-based mediums across commercial and non-profit sectors.

Outside academia, Brown enjoys family time with his wife Megan, daughter Addelyn, and two dogs Rook and Raleigh. An avid 'culture nerd,' he engages with media ranging from Marvel and Star Wars to classic literature, while exploring food and local farmer's markets with his family.
