Lance Crowe

Chief Lance Crowe (retired) is a faculty member at Bob Jones University (BJU), teaching courses in criminal justice within the Division of History, Government and Social Science. He holds an MA in Criminal Justice from Columbia College and a BS in Graphic Design from BJU. Retired from public service in 2018, he previously served 14 years with the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office and 13 years as Chief of Police in Travelers Rest, SC, advancing to leadership roles like patrol lieutenant and administrative captain. He maintains active ties to law enforcement through his role as an armed liaison and subject matter expert for BJU Public Safety, and as a basic instructor at the SC Criminal Justice Academy.
