Lamine Dieng

Lamine Dieng serves as Research Professor at Gustave Eiffel University within the Department of Materials and Structures, based in Bouguenais at the RESAL building. He directs the Metallic and Cable Structures unit and acts as cable reference expert for the SMC laboratory.

Research Focus: Specializing in Civil Engineering with concentrated expertise in Metallic Structures and Cable Structures, his work bridges materials science and structural design. His technical leadership spans civil engineering systems, particularly in cable-reinforced infrastructure and metallic structural components.

Academic Leadership: Oversees R&D project management including administrative/financial oversight and European multipartite project coordination. Supervises doctoral theses and Master's students while providing technical mentorship to technicians.

International Collaboration: Directs the French-South African Institute of Technology Cooperation at Tshwane University of Technology (Pretoria), fostering academic partnerships across Africa and France through structured research frameworks and capacity-building initiatives.
