Lakshmi R Raju

Lakshmi R Raju is a Research Professor and Director of ECE Student Engagement and Well-Being at the Georgia Institute of Technology's School of Electrical and Computer Engineering. She holds a B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Georgia Tech. Her research focuses on metamaterials, nonlinear optics, photonics, and educational leadership.

Dr. Raju pioneered work in inverse design of metamaterials using deep learning, with applications in optical systems and molecular sensing. She also leads initiatives to enhance student belonging and peer leadership in engineering education. Key contributions include developing AI-driven meta-optic systems and optimizing plasmonic structures for harmonic generation.
