Lainie Cameron is a Professor of Exercise Physiology at the University of Southern Queensland's School of Health and Medical Sciences. She integrates clinical practice with academic research, specializing in rheumatology, animal-assisted therapies, and exercise rehabilitation.
Her research examines exercise interventions for autoimmune conditions including systemic lupus erythematosus and scleroderma. She developed telehealth protocols for chronic disease management and pioneered animal-assisted therapy integration in clinical exercise physiology.
