Laercio Porto Neto

Dr. Laercio Porto Neto serves as Senior Research Scientist and Team Leader of Animal Genomics within CSIRO's Livestock & Aquaculture division, leading dry and web laboratory operations while directing multiple genomic research initiatives focused on livestock improvement.

Academic credentials include a PhD in Molecular Genetics from The University of Queensland (2011), MSc in Animal Reproduction from Universidade de Sao Paulo (2005), and Veterinary Medicine degree from the same institution (2001). Professional progression at CSIRO spans Postdoctoral Fellow (2013-2017), Research Scientist (2017-2019), and current Senior Research Scientist role (2019-present).
