Kyung Hae Hwang is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Communicative Sciences and Disorders at New York University’s Steinhardt School. She holds a Ph.D. in Communication Sciences and Disorders, M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology, and M.A. in Applied Linguistics from Teachers College, Columbia University. Licensed in New York and New Jersey, she is certified by ASHA and the TSSLD (with a Korean bilingual extension).
Her clinical experience spans early intervention, NYC public schools, medical settings, and private clinics. She founded the iTalk Speech & Language Center, specializing in bilingual and neurodiverse populations, offering culturally responsive care.
