Kyu Eun Lee

Dr. Kyu Eun Lee, PhD, will join the School of Pharmacy and the Department of Pharmacy at the University of Washington in January 2023 as the CHOICE Institute Endowed Assistant Professor of Health Decision Sciences. She brings expertise in simulation modeling and decision science to advance research and training in these areas.

Dr. Lee’s research focuses on forecasting disease burden and evaluating interventions for infectious diseases and alcohol drinking disorders through simulation models. She emphasizes improving model validity and computational efficiency, with recent work analyzing the impact of non-pharmaceutical interventions for COVID-19 on future influenza seasons and population immunity in the United States.

Her scientific award includes a fellowship in Medical Decision Making from the Society of Medical Decision Making, highlighting her methodological and substantive contributions to health decision sciences.
