Kyril Drezov is an Honorary Fellow in Politics at Keele University and a founding member and co-chair of the Southeast Europe Unit (SEU). Since joining Keele in 1996, he has become a leading expert on Bulgarian, Macedonian, and broader Balkan politics. His work spans academic research, media commentary, and policy consultancy, including contributions to BBC World Service and Oxford Analytica.

His media and consultancy work includes political risk analysis for Merrill Lynch and contributions to strategic policy discussions on the Balkans.
He is available to supervise PhD students in areas including communism and post-communism, Balkan politics, and Bulgarian and Macedonian affairs.
