Kyoko Hashimoto is Professor and Piano Area Coordinator at McGill University's Schulich School of Music, teaching piano and chamber music. An internationally acclaimed performer, she has collaborated with artists including Gil Shaham and Steven Isserlis across 30+ countries, with performances at Carnegie Hall and Wigmore Hall.
Her pedagogical approach integrates historical performance practices with contemporary repertoire. She founded the International Music Workshop and Festival and regularly serves on juries for major competitions including the Gina Bachauer International Piano Artists Competition.
Research interests include performance practice across historical periods and pedagogical methodologies for advanced pianists. Her discography features critically acclaimed recordings of Schumann, Scriabin, and Messiaen.
