Kylee-Anne Hingston is an Assistant Professor of English at St. Thomas More College, specializing in Victorian literature, disability studies, and pedagogy. She holds a Ph.D. from the University of Victoria, preceded by an M.A. from the University of Saskatchewan and a B.A. (Hons) from the University of Regina. Her research explores intersections of disability, religion, and narrative form in Victorian texts, with a focus on periodicals and collaborative knowledge production. She teaches courses such as Reading Culture: Disability in Culture, Children’s Literature, and British Novel 1850–1900.
Her monograph Articulating Bodies (2019) analyzes disability representation across Victorian genres, while current work examines religious periodicals’ influence on Victorian disability discourse. She emphasizes community engagement in teaching, integrating service-learning into curricula. Her peer-reviewed publications appear in Women’s Writing, Victorian Literature and Culture, and Studies in Canadian Literature.
