Kyle Vick is a Professor in the Department of Psychology at the College of Arts and Sciences. He holds a Ph.D. in Neurosciences and Cognitive Sciences (2005) from the University of Maryland, College Park, an MA in Physics (1997) from the same institution, and a BA in Physics and Philosophy (1994) from the University of Minnesota, Morris.
His research interests include insect navigation, mental rotations, error detection mechanisms, and the effects of music on animal behavior. He actively participates in institutional governance, serving as Chair of the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC), Co-Chair of the University Technology Advisory Committee, and a member of the SEA Executive Committee under the College of Arts and Sciences. He presented a paper titled *"Soul As Theory"* at the 2010 Oxford Round Table.
Professor Vick teaches core psychology courses, including Quantitative Methods, Experimental Psychology, Neurobiology of Behavior, and Cognitive Neuroscience. His interdisciplinary work bridges neuroscience, cognitive science, and experimental psychology.
