Kyle Turner

Kyle Turner is an Adjunct Professor at Stony Brook University, where he teaches tuba performance. Based in New York City for over 30 years, he currently serves as Principal Tuba with both the American Symphony and the Orchestra of St. Luke’s. He also teaches at the Manhattan School of Music and Montclair State University.

Mr. Turner performed in over 500 concerts with the New York Philharmonic as acting interim principal tubist from 2001–2004. He received the Walter W. Naumburg Chamber Music Prize in 1992 as a member of the Saturday Brass Quintet.
