Kyle Mattes is Associate Professor and Associate Chair in FIU's Department of Politics and International Relations. His research examines voter responses to campaign tactics, political psychology, and experimental methodologies. Co-author of 'The Positive Case for Negative Campaigning', he analyzes how emotions like contempt influence electoral outcomes.
