Kyle Forbes Bissell

Kyle Bissell is Lecturer and Instructor in Exercise & Sport Studies at Smith College with 29 years of coaching experience across diverse settings. His doctoral research at Rocky Mountain University focuses on bridging motor skill acquisition research with coaching pedagogy. As USA Archery's East Coast Regional Elite Development head coach, he contributes to national coaching curricula and workshops.

Research explores performance blocks in precision sports, sex/gender intersections in athletics, and evidence-based coaching methodologies. Bissell develops training protocols recognized as educational best practices, including design features cited in We Are Crew: A Teamwork Approach to School Culture.
