Kyle Bares

Dr. Kyle Bares is an Assistant Professor at the University of Wyoming's College of Arts and Sciences, affiliated with the Department of Criminal Justice and Sociology. He joined the faculty in fall 2022 after completing his Ph.D. at Bowling Green State University.

• B.A. in Criminal Justice/Psychology (University of Wyoming, 2016)

Research Focus: Dr. Bares specializes in juvenile delinquency, criminal desistance, prison reentry, and parole officer dynamics. His work has been published in journals including Crime and Delinquency and Youth Violence & Juvenile Justice.

Teaching: He teaches courses such as Criminal Courts and Processes, Correctional Theory and Practice, and Research Methods.
