Professor Kwangmin Kim is an Associate Professor at the University of Colorado, specializing in the history of early modern China and East Asia. His research focuses on empire, borderlands, transnational relations, and global capitalism. He teaches courses such as 'Early Modern China, 960-1842,' 'Maritime Asia, 1500-1800,' and 'China and Islam.' His recent publications explore Qing Empire dynamics and regional histories, including Xinjiang and Central Asia.
